Rippling across the equator for nearly 5000km, Indonesia encompasses more than 17,000 islands.
The Southern Atolls of the Maldives, have you heard of all the spots down there? Neither has the rest of the world, because the government of the Maldives is very careful about how they regulate surf tourism outside of the North and South Male Atolls. Special permits are required to visit these atolls and islets directly above the equator, and only a few surf charter companies have gone through the red tape and taken the chance to motor as much as 400 miles south of Male – to see what is there.
The Horizon II has 6 air-conditioned guest cabins, each with ensuite bathroom. The boat can accommodate up to 10 guests (12 on request) in Double bed or Twin share cabins. Guests will be joined by the experienced crew including the captain, chef, two deckhands and surf guide. A 90-foot yacht has room to move, and the salon/bar/dining room offers TV, video, CD, DVD entertainment system and 360° views of the reef, the surf and a tree-top level view of the islands, which really are quite extraordinarily flat.
Availability can change at anytime.
You will received excellent meals aboard the Horizon II, seated in the Saloon or out on the deck dinning table. The experienced Chefs will serve you a delicious range of cuisine from Europe and Asia - and you can guarantee fresh fish!
As well as the main meals, there will be a 5-o-clock coffee break with snacks and sandwiches after a hard days surfing. Chill out and watch the beautiful sunset with a cool drink. They have a large array of drinks behind the bar to enjoy (extra charge), from cognac to cocktails and champagne.
Stand Out Surf Spots | Southern Atolls - Tiger Stripes (Left 2-8ft), Beacons (Right 4-8ft), Approach Lights (Right 2-6ft), Madihera (Left 2-10ft) and Shangri-la (Right 2-5ft).
The Horizon II comes equipped with an inflatable surf dingy and also a 10 meter Dhoni support boat – in case there is a left on one side of the mothership, and a right on the other we can split your group between breaks. The support Dhoni also allows your group to have a very early morning and late evening surf as it will stay with you in the channel while the main boat is negotiating the reefs and passes from the anchorages inside the atoll each night.
The Horizon II has all the required Safety equipment such as GPS, mobile phone, Radio phone, VHF and Marine radar.
