"Relax to the max" at Don Jon’s Lodge in Santa Teresa on the southern tip of the Nicoya peninsula of Costa Rica. The lodge is located only 100 meters distance from the white sand beach ‘Santa Teresa’, a short walk to small markets, surf shops, international restaurants and the local nightlife. Don Jon’s offers a nice, relaxing, fun, and safe atmosphere surrounded by beautiful natural wildlife. Relax and read a book in one of the many hammocks, enjoy cooking fresh fish on the BBQ, or have a few cervasa's and play some music in the bar area.
Don Jon’s offers a variety of accommodations for everyone, situated only 100 meters distance from the beautiful white sand surf beach of Santa Teresa. We offer modern fully furnished quality apartments with AC for groups or families, private rooms in all teak wood cabins for couples or small groups, and a great surf hostel with AC for backpackers. All accommodations feature orthopedic mattresses, refrigerators in the rooms, fans or AC, daily cleaning service, as well as free coffee for guests.
Don Jon’s features a great restaurant serving Latin American food made with fresh ingredients always. There is also a kitchen for guests to use, which is cleaned daily and stocked with all necessary appliances.
The waves in Santa Teresa are epic. Warm barrels at low tide and fun walls at high. We don't take larger groups out surfing in Santa Teresa and surf lessons are charged at £50 per person for a private 1:1 surf lesson. This will ensure you learn faster and therefore need less lessons.

There's no getting around it, flights from the UK to San Jose are not very 'board friendly'. The extra charge is expensive, so worth considering buying a board once you're there. In Santa Teresa there's loads of surf shops, you can get a brand new board for around $400. Then you can re-sell it, or pay the excess if you don't want to part with it on return!

The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT) provides financial protection under the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 for Errant Surf, and in the event of their insolvency, protection is provided for the following:
1. non-flight packages commencing in and returning to the UK;
2. non-flight packages commencing and returning to a country other than the UK; and
3. flight inclusive packages that commence outside of the UK, which are sold to customers outside of the UK.
1, 2 and 3 provides for a refund in the event you have not yet travelled. 1 and 3 provides for repatriation. Please note that bookings made outside the UK are only protected by ABTOT when purchased directly with Errant Surf.
