Very nicely appointed 2 bed top floor appartment with kitchen. Appartment was ready, clean and had fresh linen all provided and in place upon arrival. Description and photos on the Errant and Zed's Surfing Adventures website as per reality. The appartment has both a shaded balcony area and a roof top terrace for use by the Stargazer residents only. Both bedrooms are supplied with air conditioning which is of great use overnight. The owners Zed and Claudia Layson are incredibly nice people who ensured that during our stay we were looked after and also enquired if we needed the appartment cleaning mid stay at no additional charge. A Barbeque is held on Thursday nights which is very tasy and filling Surf Coaching: We didn't use the coaching but hired a board for the week and were able to change boards depending on the waves. from what we saw a great many of the first timers were standing by the end of their first lesson which is always good. One recomendation is possibly that they should push sun screen and drinking a little more. We attended the Rip Curl School in Bali and on every break attendees were encouraged to top up and drink (both supplied as well). That said group sizes were kept to 3 instructors to 10 people and we saw a lot of people being turned away as the classes were full, were they could have squeezed more in for more money, but chose not to and kept the quality. Food/Drink: Other than a weekly Barbeque Zed's have a small catering van on-site which can cook you breakfast or lunch. We did use it a couple of time for lunch and the food was on a par with other fast food locations we used in Barbados. We ate out at various restaurants and costs are fairly high with two meals costing US $170 for two, but they were good! We were assisted by the Errant Team with our booking and prior to deciding on Barbados, Chris did help with also investigating Sri Lanka which we will consider now for a future surfing holiday.Ian -
This has to be one of the best holidays we have ever had. The location was perfect for chilling out & surfing. I love that Surfer's Point was away from the touristy parts. The staff were amazing and very friendly & helpful - they couldn't do enough to help us. We loved just hanging out at the 'Good to Go Cafe' and chatting to them all. We hired a car for the two weeks to explore the rest of the island, which I think is a must if you are more of an adventurer. We went to Harrison's Cave, did the Areal Trek Zip Line, went to Cherry Tree Hill for the fantastic views, saw the sights at Bathsheba & checked out the surf at the soup bowl, went on a Segway tour, saw the view at Animal Flower Cove, went swimming with the turtles, went to Kendal Shooting Range, went out on a catamaran, walked around on the beautiful beaches & ate at amazing restaurants!! Five stars!!!Charlotte -
