Taghazoute - Morocco
Overview
"Hi Guys, just wanted to say, I’ve used other ‘specialist’ vacation companies and it’s a lot more re-assuring booking through somebody who’s actually been to those places and surfed those breaks." Simon Lawson - Cheshire, UK
In recent years the small fishing village of Taghazoute in south Morocco, has been well and truly put on the surfing map. However, travelling surfers have migrated to this part of North Africa for over forty years, lured by the mystical waves and interesting culture. Long peeling waves, winter sunshine, good food, friendly locals, and miles upon miles of empty waves are just a handful of reasons to head out to Morocco.
The surf camp in Taghazoute sits right on Anka Point, the countries most famous point break. You are able to check the surf without even leaving your bed.

After a hard day surfing the amazing waves of Morocco, you can hang out in the sunshine, play table tennis, practice your Indo Board skills or simply take part in the yoga lessons that are on offer.
When to go?
During the winter months of September to April, the swells from the North Atlantic travel hundreds of miles before wrapping round Killer Point into the bay of Taghazoute and Tamraght. Even in the depths of winter, you can surf in a light summer wetsuit. During June, July and August the surf becomes small and more suited to new surfers wishing to learn to surf in shorts.
