BSA Surf Coach Award
Fancy a break from your normal nine-to-five job? Want to travel and teach surfing?
Well now, with Errant, you can train with us to become a British Surfing Association surf instructor. We run surf coach courses and lifeguard courses back to back, allowing you to gain two qualifications that will enable you to coach surfing and lifeguard around the world.
You will need to complete your BSA Level One Surf Coach Award, NARS Beach Lifeguard Award and thirty hours work experience to gain the full certificate, all of which can be done in Newquay with us.

The BSA Surf Coach Award
This three-day part of your training will take place at the BSA headquarters at Fistral beach in Newquay. All surfers looking at completing the BSA Level One Surf Coach Award must have a good understanding of surfing and be able to surf along un-broken waves, going left and right with top and bottom turns. - Types of Surfing Breaks
- Considerations when buying a surfboard
- Types and uses of wetsuits
