Situated just off a cobbled street in one of the oldest areas of Sagres, the Fisherman's Cottage is full of character and style. The cottage has a wealth of character features with exposed wooden beams, rounded walls and natural floors of terracotta tiles and wood. All local materials have been used and the cottage now presents a space of warmth and comfort conveniently combined with all modern amenities.

Among the countless activities to enjoy locally are surfing, walking, bird watching, windsurfing, dolphin trips, scuba diving, cycling, blo-karting, horse riding and snorkeling to name just a few.

Living Room

The accommodation comprises of a spacious central living area with an open plan kitchen. There is a very comfortable sitting area with a large 5 seater sofa and a huge bean bag. There is a flat screen TV with DVD player, selection of DVDs and a music system complete with an inbuilt iPod docking station. The dining area has a large wooden table and chairs.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The main bedroom is very light and airy. It has a natural wooden floor and exposed wooden beams on the ceiling. A large comfortable double bed and two large wooden framed windows that open to let in the wonderful algarve sounds and scents.

The second bedroom is upstairs with two very comfortable single beds. Plus the sofa in the living room converts easily to a large double bed, supplied with duvet and pillows. All bed linen and towels for the cottage are provided. There are two very stylish bathrooms, one with a shower and the second with a shower and a bath. Perfect for relaxing in after a long day out enjoying yourselves. All the hot water comes from a newly installed solar system.

Outside

Outside at the front of the cottage there is a very pleasant sitting area with table and chairs. There is also a BBQ available. There is a washing line for hanging wetsuits, beach towels etc. Parking is available on the street immediately outside.

Food and Drink

The kitchen is hand built with locally sourced wood and has a solid Oak worktop. There is an inbuilt hob with an electric fan-assisted oven under, extractor hood above. There is a fridge, toaster and a kettle. It is well equipped for 6 guests self catering.

Surfing at Fisherman's Cottage - Praia do Tonel

The closest beach is Praia do Tonel, a three minute walk from the cottage. Exposed to Western swells it can get good waves and is famed for surfing. Exhilarating for a dip or to practice body surfing. Lifeguards are on duty in the summer.

A ten minute walk takes you to Mareta beach, more sheltered on the South coast. An extremely beautiful bay, it is perfect for swimming, snorkelling and very occasionally surfing. In easy driving distance are 10/20 other stunning west or south coast beaches.

We suggest hiring a car and exploring this wave rich region fo Europe.
