Introduction to Indo Surf Odyssey

We offer a wide range of trips throughout the most remote and consistent surf spots of Indonesia.

During the expedition we will be passing through some of the remotest areas of Indonesia, where some of the highest quality waves in the world do their thing.

The South West coast of Indonesia is a 4000km stretch of reefs, beaches, points, river mouths and islands that receive some of the most consistent swells of the planet. There are still a lot of high quality waves that are going unsurfed. Probably right now, as you're reading this, there are perfect empty barrels going unridden somewhere in Indonesia.

We created the Indo Odyssey to recapture the magic of those early indo pioneer experiences of surfing super high quality waves in remote locations.

We have a brand new boat for the Odyssey's 2012 trips in West Java & Sumatra, the classic Bulan Purnama. Bulan Pernama means full moon in Indonesian, an auspicious name for an Indo surf boat as the full moon is always asscociated with the best swells in Indonesia.

Just as our previous boat, the Lambo, it's a Phinisi boat, a traditional Indonesian wooden boat. It has been built in Sulawesi by the same builders as the Lambo, using the same techniques of making traditional cargo boats, but re-designed for modern charter purpose.

Her interior is fully waterproofed and air conditioned, making her more suited for Sumatra weather. There are 2 cabins in the front with 4 berths, and one huge cabin in the back equipped with flatscreen TV and AC, hosting up to 5 guests.

But those who like to sleep under the stars don't have to worry! Like our last boat, there are plenty of space on the deck to enjoy the outsides.

We're really exited to make the Bulan Pernama our new home and our new tool to explore remote Indonesia!

Food and Drink

When it comes to food, we don't fool around. We love our food and know how important is the food on a surf trip. We choose the freshest fruits and veggies, fish and meats, nearly all of it organic. We bake our own crusty sourdough bread daily. The quality of our food is at the same level that you would expect from the best cafes and restaurants anywhere in the world.

What's included?

• 3 complete and healthy meals per day

• 2 beers per day.

Surfing at Indo Surf Odyssey

Our intention is to surf the surf breaks that are still relatively or completely unknown. But of course, on the way we will be stopping by at the well known breaks such as Nihiwatu, Grajagan, Scar Reef, Desert Point, HT's, Rifles, Telescopes, etc.

We will take you to the most remote locations, and give you the opportunity to experience these magic places where you'll have the privilege to surf some of the most perfect waves of the planet with very few people and at times completely by yourself.
