Introduction to Surf Lodge - Bundoran

The surf lodge in Bundoran is perfectly located in the center of Bundoran, one of Ireland's best sea-side towns and most famous surf breaks. The surf lodge overlooks the beautiful Donegal bay & the world famous surf spot "The Peak", the lodge is a turn of the century Victorian building with high ceilings and beautiful bay windows. It has a panoramic view of the stunning bay and the mountains beyond. All rooms are en-suite and come each has its own television.

The lodge is well catered for, with free parking, free wifi, changing rooms, wet rooms to store surfing equipment and of course the most knowlegable surf team in Bundoran.

Food and Drink

A continental breakfast is provided to all our guests between 8.30 am and 10.30am daily. Breakfast includes tea, coffee, toast, fruit, orange juice and a variety of cereals.

Surfing at Surf Lodge - Bundoran

Tullan Strand is a 2km beach stretching from the north end of Bundoran to the Erne Estuary at Ballyshannon. It is considered Ireland's most consistent beach break. Add to this the beautiful back drop of the Sligo-Leitrim Mountains and extensive network of sandunes, it's also no surprise that it's considered one of Ireland's most picturesque beaches.

Tullan is open to almost any swell going. Although there are waves along the whole stretch of beach, it works best at low tide at the south end of the strand. It can hold waves up to 6 feet and works best on an offshore wind. Tullan is a wave for every level of surfer although high tide is most suited to beginners.
