Introduction to Tamarindo 360 Surf Lodge

Tamarindo surf camp is located on Tamarindo Beach, in the Guanacaste province, North Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The long sandy and reef beaches, the warm and crystal clear water and the tropical climate all year round create the perfect atmosphere for those who love surfing.

Made famous by the cult movie Endless Summer, Tamarindo is a true surfers hang out in one of the most stunning regions in the world. Tamarindo itself is a rustic, vibrant town full of charm and good times for all surfers, and non-surfers.

If you get surfed out you can try plenty of other things from canopy tours, snorkelling, kayaking, jet skiing, boogie boarding, fishing, ATV tours, horseback riding, long walks, shopping for all tastes and the best gift which two palm trees can offer you ... swing in a hammock watching the amazing sunset!

The nightlife of Tamarindo offers something different every night of the week including, ladies night, reggae night, live Latin music and dancing.

Tamarindo also has a great skate park in the centre which is visited annually by many pro sports. Tamarindo is about 260 km from San Jose and only 45minutes from the Daniel Oduber International Airport at Liberia.

Surfing at Tamarindo 360 Surf Lodge

Surfing lessons take place each day and last two hours. You are welcome to use the surfing equipment for the full duration of your stay with us in Costa Rica. We offer a surf guide option which will take you to the best surf on any day and a surf school option for people wishing to learn or improve on their surfing skills while in Costa Rica.

Tamarindo is one of the best surf destinations as it is a great place to use as base to explore a wide variety of surf breaks within a short distance. Breaks within walking distance include the rivermouth, Langosta, Pico Pequeño (to name a few) and within a short drive you can surf Grande, Avellanes, Negra and a boat trip away from Witches Rock and Ollie's Point.
