Surf Camp - Fuerteventura

Review of Surf Camp - Fuerteventura from 14th February

The accommodation was clean and basic – as expected.

The surf coaching was great – really nice instructors with loads of patience and enthusiasm.

Breakfast and lunch were fine. Not exactly nutritious – but I understand the need for beach practicality. It was nice to have this provided – one less thing to think about.

Review of Surf Camp - Fuerteventura from 9th November

Great holidays ...accommodation basic but clean and good for the price, about up to 12 ppl in the surf camp I think which made great room-mates like atmosphere. Roof terrace for bbq's and dinners! And also excellent location near town/harbour/beach.  Highly recommend for people traveling on their own or group of friends. Good big breakfast, could do with a bit of vegetable in the lunch sandwich and really appreciated the 1,5 l of water your get for your lunch!

Have to send a big thanks to everyone! It's amazing how much you can learn in a week (and I didn't even know what's a surf boat on monday and was catching the waves no bother few days later). All the surf instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful, have to mention Kasey in particular - his constant encouragement, attention to every student and great tips how to improve were outstanding. You could tell he really enjoys coaching.  And also not to forget John (the photographer) with his precise analysis of my surfing 'style' and advices when taking pictures and later in the class room.

Cheers to Max in the UK office for recommending this package, budget-surf-beach-lots of fun-sunshine-new friends...exactly what I was looking for!

The accommodation is basic, but what more do you need when spending all day (and evening) outdoors?! All the instructors where knowledgeable and helpful. The photographer (John) was a particularly good feature of the coaching. I learnt a lot back in the classroom from pictures, picking up on things I was doing wrong and trying to correct them the following day.

Again, basic. But fine for the price. The customer service was very helpful and personable both in Fueteventura and in the UK. Special mention goes to Kim at the UK office!

Review of Surf Camp - Fuerteventura from 30th March

I had a wonderful time at Fuerteventura, though I guess it's not hard to have a great time when surfing! Some tips for others would be that bath towels are included, but take a beach towel. A good jumper it gets very chilly at night. Check out local holidays and celebrations, it was Carnival when I went! And on top of surfing they offered kite and wind surfing, there are barbecues on Friday nights! Accommodation was shared, so something worth mentioning, if you want a private room you can pay a supplement. I had an amazing experience, and now with a better understanding of what to expect, I would love to go back. The proximity of the hostel to the town, harbour, beach, and everything one would really need was a huge asset.

Review of Surf Camp - Fuerteventura from 11th February

Accommodation is good, although the food a bit same/same each day. The surf coaching is what made it for me the surfing structure, was fantastic and very attentive.  It is a testament to Ben that in Day 1 I could barely to stand, and by day 3 I was popping up and learning to turn.

Review of Surf Camp - Fuerteventura from 4th February

The accommodation was fine but a little basic. The surf coaching was excellent. Very friendly and patient. With the small classes my improvement was quick. For the instructor, Ben, nothing was too much trouble and he coped well with instructing the different levels of surf abilities in the class. My only quibble would be that the lessons are advertised as a 'day' and last for 4 hours. The first hour of the lessons was spent loading the vehicles, picking people up, finding a spot and getting ready to surf. Still, no more lessons for me and that is a testament to the excellent coaching.
