Introduction to Point Surf House

The Centre Point surf house is ideal for surfers on a budget wanting to spend anything from a couple of days to a month in Lanzarote.

This traditional canarian house is located in Tao at one of the highest central points of the island. From the glass surrounded “crow’s nest sitting room” you can look down over the panoramic view to Famara and La Graciosa and check out the swell. By car it takes approximately 10 minutes to either Famara or La Santa. When the opposite coast has better swell Arrieta, Jameos and Orzola are 20 minute’s drive away.

The surf house has 3 bedrooms which can fit up to 6 people and there is an independent one bedroom apartment which is perfect for a couple or someone who likes more privacy. Equipped with ADSL internet and two audio-visual zones.

You will be sharing the surf house with the Australian shaper and surfer Dennis Smith. This surf house is frequently visited from his friends from around the world always searching for perfect waves. Surfers from Hawaii, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and USA come here for the world class surf. If you want true surf ambience, this is it.

Also, by staying in the surf house in Tao, you also get free internet at Centre Point surf shop in La Santa. We have the service of next day board repairs, equipment rentals, fax, photo copier, printer, international phone calling cards,etc. Everything you need for your surfing safari. Food and Drink

In Tao itself there are 2 good restaurants. The first is the Socieadad, a place known for cheap and gutsy local food. It’s where the locals hang out and you can often get the full entertainment of a rowdy card game along with your great grub. David's, the other restaurant, is a little more expensive but it's also known for good food. Close by you have a supermarket, bakery and cafeteria and other restaurants in Tiagua [5 minutes drive away]. Both Famara and La Santa have a wide variety of restaurants from cheap burgers and tapas up to really high quality restaurants. You can choose self-catering at the surf house or there is a catering package where your lunch pack for the beach and evening meal in a local restaurant are included
