Introduction to Famara Apartments - Lanzarote

The apartments are all located in the tranquil village of Caleta de Famara. Famara village is located in the volcanic national park and is in a protected area. A good night out in Famara is having a good meal at the local restaurant and a cold beer after a long day of surfing. If you want nightlife then the busy resort of Puerto Del Carmen is a short taxi ride away. Our surf school and accommodation is easy-going and has real friendly atmosphere. You can meet people from all over the world with whom you will share this wonderful experience and you will be made to feel right at home.

The apartments are all within walking distance from the surf, the local bars and restaurants. The private apartments have one double room and one twin room or in some cases for larger groups, four separate beds, spacious living rooms and well equipped kitchens. The apartments are of excellent standard, very clean and well maintained.

Food and Drink

We supply lunch for everyone, but the apartments are self-catering. You have a dozen restaurants in the village of Famara, all serving good, fresh food. There is also three shops were you can buy plenty of food.

Surfing at Famara Apartments - Lanzarote

The Errant surf school has been operating in Lanzarote since 1996. The average water temperature is between 20-23 °C and air temperature is between 20-25 °C, which allows us to surf almost every day. (These are the temperatures in winter, in summer it gets even hotter!) If you are starting out for the first time then the beach of Famara will be your first port of call. This massive sandy beach stretches along some of the most breath-taking volcanic landscape. Close to the apartment, the famous waves of La Santa, El Quemao and San Juan will test any budding surfer.

The surf school in Lanzarote is of such high quality that it has been awarded level four status from the British Surfing Association. This is the only school in Lanzarote to be awarded this status. You will be coached for five days. If you have surfed before you can be coached on turns, generating speed, wave selection and much more. The school is equipped with the latest boards and wetsuits to match the high standard of surf coaching. This includes 7' - 9' soft boards, 7'6" - 10' Bic boards and the latest range of Surftech and custom shortboards. Surf coaching takes place from 10.30am until 4pm.
