Taghazout has a number of golden sandy beaches that are excellent for surfing and learning to surf. A number of beautiful secluded bays and coves, in and around the village, create a peaceful space for yoga classes, mediation and relaxation.
You can stroll around Taghazout’s souq, shops and cafes or simply take a step back from it all - sip on a glass of mint tea and watch the world go by.
The Surf Yoga Holidays are located at the Villa Mandala: Villa Mandala is the best accommodation on offer, it’s a real treat. Each of the 8 rooms are unique and have a real feel of quality; sprinkled with trinkets and designed to a theme. There are 4 ocean facing rooms, 2 of which are en suite and 4 with spectacular mountain views. There are 4 large bathrooms for the remaining 6 bedrooms. It boasts beautiful, light lounge areas filled with ocean views. Your daily yoga classes, conducted under the shade of a beautiful wooden Pagoda overlooking the beach, will help you instantly feel at peace and in harmony with yourself and the natural environment. With our 2 amazing yoga teachers, here on Morocco’s Atlantic ocean we offer a diverse yoga practice inspiring beginners to advanced yogis alike. Yoga classes are held in the shade of the roof top yoga shala with the infinite Atlantic Ocean in front & behind Bourgainvillia flowers, banana groves and the terracotta foothills of the Atlas. The shala's magnificent wooden pillars, wooden floorboards and surrounding glass sliding doors allow it to be enjoyed both as an impressive spacious studio or an open airy space for an inspiring, tranquil and unforgettable yoga practice
Kim has been practicing yoga for 16 years, with an array of teachers in Western Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and more recently in Mysore and Goa, India. Kim has a 200hr Ashtanga Yoga Teacher certificate. She completed this with her main teachers at The Te Aro Ashtanga Yoga School in Wellington New Zealand. Kim blends her experience of Iyengar, Hatha and Ashtanga to create a warm approach to the magical art of Yoga. Yoga is her life and sharing this gift with others her passion.
Vicki was introduced to yoga at school and has been inspired by a number of yoga gurus and schools thereafter in India, Nepal and Britain. She has a masterate in Indian Religions and Philosophy and in 2005 she completed the classical Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course, at The Sivananda Ashram, Woodbourne, New York State. Her classes focus on the 12 basic asanas (postures) and their variations, nourishing yogic breathing, practices in positive thinking & deep relaxation to reconnect with the power and peace within our own selves.
With us you will learn how to use yoga to relieve stress, pain, illness, increase physical & mental strength & self-confidence. You will be inspired & revived by a daily practice of pranayama (breathing exercises). You will purify the body and mind through the practice of kriyas (classical yogic cleansing exercises). You will be deeply calmed from regular sarvasana (guided relaxation). You will feel mentally alert yet content & peaceful throughout each & every day. After a week of our inspiring yoga, you’ll leave the retreat with a renewed sense of vigour, positivity and joy to face the world a fresh.

Vicki’s experience of teaching yoga to surfers has enabled her to develop a technique which keeps the surfing muscles strong and supple. For beginners and experienced surfers yoga is an essential practice in developing the mental and physical strength required to surf and keep surfing. It’s a sublime combination.
Surf guides and transport to the beach are included in all yoga retreats and our team will ensure that you get to the breaks with the best conditions for you. Surf lessons are also included and can be provided on days and at times to suit you throughout your stay.
