Internship at Errant Surf - Our online shop

We are constantly looking for highly motivated interns responsible for traffic optimization, social media concept development, catalogue data maintenance and some financial, accounting and other administrative tasks. We expect a highly driven worker not afraid to roll up her/his sleeves and not afraid to take on challenging analytical complex problems. In return we will provide a fantastic working environment. The office will be based in Newquay, Cornwall (UK) with direct access to the surf of Newquay Bay.

Job description

You will partly or solely responsible for following areas:

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Search Engine Advertising (SEA)

Affiliate marketing

Social Media Marketing

catalogue Data Maintenance

Website Maintenance

Suppliers and orders

Financial Modelling

Other administrative tasks

Qualifications

The candidate should have a strong knowledge of surfing and all travel and lifestyle aspects of the sport.

Fluent English is a must.

The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills that helps him/her to win and keep the sympathy of clients, business partners and colleagues.

The right candidate must be extremely data driven and analytical.

The right candidate will be action and results oriented, and must comfortable with computer databases and tools. Especially proficient skills in Excel is a must. Mac OS, Photoshop, and other imaging and video editing software is a plus.

It is a strong plus to have experience in planning, forecasting, and a background in travel or e-commerce. It is expected that the candidate reads literature about Internet marketing before start of the internship.

The ideal candidate should have demonstrated success at developing and executing promotional strategies.

The candidate must also be decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas. Beyond prior experience, we require a passionate self-starter to help us take our platform to the next level.

The successful candidate will be a world-class individual, someone seeking a cause, not just a job.

He/She must be able to work in a demanding but collegial environment where teamwork is a must.

Ability to problem-solve using creative thinking and innovation are a plus.

Job description

The internship starts anytime and lasts at least six months. Longer stays are preferred.

Accommodation in local shared house will be provided.

Small salary on top will be provided.
