Fancy a break from your normal nine-to-five job? Want to travel and teach surfing?
Well now, with Errant, you can train with us to become a British Surfing Association surf instructor. We run surf coach and surf instructor courses and lifeguard courses back to back, allowing you to gain two qualifications that will enable you to coach surfing and lifeguard around the world.
You will need to complete your BSA Level One Surf Coach Award, NARS Beach Lifeguard Award and thirty hours work experience surf coaching to gain the full certificate, all of which can be done in Newquay with us.
This three-day part of your training will take place at the Errant HQ and training centre in Newquay. All surfers looking at completing the BSA Level One Surf Coach Award must have a good understanding of surfing and be able to surf along un-broken waves, going left and right with top and bottom turns. You will be given a surf related topic prior to the course to write a fifteen minute lecture on. Topics include:
Our British Surfing Association level 1 surf instructor courses are £250. You will also be sent a pre-course workbook to complete prior to the course. For information on the NARS Beach Lifeguard Award see here. We can also provide accommodation from surf lodges, hotels or advise on where to park the van, just ask!
