The surf in Dominican Republic has long been kept a secret in the Caribbean. The natural beauty of this island and its variety of landscape and excellent sandy beaches, with an average year long temperature of 28C, and extremely warm hearted locals - makes the Dominican Republic one of the best surf destinations in the world and is a true tropical surf island paradise.

While Dominican Republic is a mountainous island it is blessed with golden sandy beaches and benefits from a whole diverse range of water sports. Our surfing resort is centred on the Atlantic side of the island in Cabarete often referred to as "La Costa" by the locals. Cabarete is a beautiful place and was originally a sleepy fishing village but recently it has become a buzzing resort offering quality Surfing, Windsurfing and Kite Surfing, with some of the Caribbean's best new surf zones being discovered.

Dominican Republic receives consistent North Atlantic swells all year long with the winter months of November to March being the best period for surf over 4ft. The rest of the year will experience 2 to 3ft on average. The best surf beach is El Encuentro - one of the most famous new reef-breaks of exposed to the world and is located just 10 minutes from the Cabarete. The geography of the country is greatly diverse, ranging from arid semi-desert plains to verdant valleys of tropical rain forests. This endows the island with a wide variety of vegetation and makes for a truly Tropical experience.
