Surfing in Europe is as diverse as the many languages, customs and cultures found in Europe. Europe is made up of forty eight countries, of these it is possible to surf in more than seventeen. More recognised surfing countries in Europe are Spain, Portugal, France, the UK and Ireland. It is also possible to surf in Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Iceland and the Mediterranean.

From the long sandy beached of France to the hidden coves of Portugal, to the world famous surf of Northern Spain, Europe has something for any level of surfer, from total beginner to the world’s top professional surfers.

Consistent surf from the North Atlantic travels to the thousands and thousands of kilometres of coastline, providing surf all year round. However it is the months of Spring, Summer and Autumn that really make Europe a gem in the surfing world.
