Naninya Island Resort is situated 1km off Kadavu which is to the south of Fiji's main island of Viti Levu and Fiji's most south-western point. The island lies on the Cape Washington pennisula on Naninya Island and is 65km from Fiji's capital Suva and is 85km from Nadi and Fiji's International Airport.
Naninya Island Resort is one of only three Fijian surf spots that face offshore to the trade winds, Frigates Passage and Cloudbreak being the other two. This island is certainly one of the hotspots for surfing in Fiji.
Surrounding Naninya Island Resort are a number of surf breaks that attract swell from different directions and all work on different winds and tides. These conditions help ensure that there is always a wave to be found somewhere. October to February has good consistent surf, it can get windy but with a decrease in strength and a change of direction you will get glassy conditions at many of the breaks. March through to September sees the trade winds come through, these winds tend to blow offshore and again arrive with plenty of swell but climate conditions are generally a little cooler.
