Errant Wins Industry Award

The brilliant seeds of economic success were celebrated at an awards ceremony recognising the hard work of entrepreneurs in South West.

Hub business network and Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI). Awards were presented for a variety of achievements, within a number of sectors.

The presentations were held in the luxurious grounds of Clowence Estate, in Praze An Beeble, on Thursday the 28th June 2007.

Errant Surf Holidays picked up the extremely competitive award for Best Tourism Concept. Errant Managing Director, Chris Thomson, commented "We are all very happy with this award, tourism is a massive industry in the South West and to win such a hotly contested award is quite an achievement"

Chris Thomson was nominated by friend and colleague Rhona Gardiner, who said: " Chris is committed to developing a brand and not just a travel agent  unlike some travel agents  Errant is wholeheartedly sticking to what it does best and loves the most - surfing.  Over the past five years Chris has dedicated himself to developing British surfing and eco-friendly travel  from a Cornish base.

"At the age of only 25 Chris has set up two successful businesses collectively generating a significant revenue for the South West and providing employment for Cornish people. He has provided unique experiences and opportunities for clients across the world and for young surfers in Cornwall.  In the past year Chris has also juggled this major workload with the other baby in his life - his one year old son Dylan."
